Check out some of the most frequently asked questions.
I'm not sure whether to buy the regular box or the pocket edition! Can you help me?
Sure! The pocket edition has everything you need for the Histórias de Pescador experience. The bigger box increases the number of players (from 5 to 7), includes the fishing net board, the mini player expansion, and looks great on the shelf.
The rulebook says I can play as many cards as I want, but only announce one type. Example: I caught three fish. But can I include other species on these cards?
You can and should. Bluffing (outright lying) is the basis of the game. Just be careful not to get caught in the lie.
At the end of the game, I only had 1 card in hand, it was very difficult to bluff. What do I do?
You can always lie to win more cards and rearrange your stories. But remember, managing your hand to win (bluffing or not) is an essential part of the strategy of the winners.
I think they'll question my catch, can I pass my turn?
No way! A true fisherman always has a story up his sleeve.
Can I announce species that are not in the game (or even don't exist in the game)?
Example: I caught 4 Seahorses.
Well, if you're good enough to pull off a lie like that, you deserve to.
With the Fishermen mini expansion, every time I get caught in a lie do I draw a new Fisherman card?
No. Each player starts with a Fisherman card in front of them and when they're caught in a lie for the first time, they reveal it and follow the effect until the end of the game. But if you want to teach the game in a different way, with the Fisherman cards accumulating and the player having to perform several effects at the same time, we promisse we won't tell.
